I use words, photographs and videos to engage people, to explain to them what's going on in the world, and to urge them to support causes or take actions that will improve their lives or make the world work better.

I develop articles for publications including Yale Medicine magazine, Connecticut Health I-Team, the New Haven Independent, and the New Haven Register. My focus is on medicine, healthcare, information technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development. Without the search for truth, our civilization is lost.

I help businesses, non-profits and government agencies tell their stories, with the goal of enhancing their brands, gaining credibility, and activating their constituencies to get things done. I believe that storytelling is a powerful tool for building community. With words, photos and video, we learn about each other, understand our shared problems, and explore our shared strengths. Stories help launch discussions, which can lead to fundamental improvements in how society is organized and operates.
